Be Kind

My mom just showed me an email somebody sent her called “Free Hugs”. It’s a story and a video clip about a guy in Australia who stood on a corner of a busy city street with a sign that said “Free Hugs.” At first I thought that it was a little strange, but then I thought about it more and I thought about how kind it was – just to offer someone else you didn’t even know a hug. On the video you could see how it made someone feel happy. The guy finally hugged an older lady who said her son had just died a while ago and she needed a hug. It got me thinking about being even nicer to people. I think it’s awesome to be kind to people. I think it’s awesome to be kind to yourself, too.

So, I’m going to write a recipe about kindness. What do you think?

Oh yeah. Now the “Free Hug” email has spread to lots of other places in the world. Sometimes we can get sad or upset or frustrated and act mean to people. But I think we’re just meant to be happy and kind too.

When i am in need of a hug, I really do not have far to go. How wonderful for this young man to offer hugs to those who dont know where to find one! this is a wonderful lesson video, it really shows you dont know what is going on in others lives so you should always be kind.

I totally agree. Just a random act of kindness can do wonders within’ you as well as others. I have noticed how grateful some people are with simple jestures like holding open a door or even assisting a ‘young’ 80yr old lass with her groceries.

Writing a recipe for kindness sounds like a wonderful idea!
