Follow Your Heart

Hi. It’s is Aja again. I’m kind of getting used to this blogging more and it’s kind of fun. My older brothers were talking the other night and they were saying how glad they are to have the kind of parents we have. Our parents have never said to any other kids that they can’t do something or be who they want to be. They always said try it and see, and if you want help we’ll help you. One of my brothers was into hockey. Another wanted to be an actor and the other loved sports, especially snowboarding and skate boarding. I love riding horses. It’s awesome to have the love and support of my family.

I want to follow my heart. My heart tells me that I love riding Darby and doing the other things I love to do. It takes up a lot of my time and sometimes it’s hard work. But I love it anyway. I think it’s awesome to know what gives you joy and happiness and then to be able to do it. What gives you joy? How do you get support? I wrote my recipe for joy in my Three Grin Salad book. I want to share it with you…Joy

Ingredients:

One or two songs of your favorite music
2 cups of smiles
1 cup of hurrays
5 cups of laughs

Procedure:

1. Get one or two of your favorite songs and play them loud
2. Sing along right out loud and dance too
3. Mix all in a big bowl with 1 or 2 cups of hurrays
4. Stir in laughs all day long
5. Shape into cookies and bake until done
6. EnJOY them with friends and family

I wish you Joy. See you tomorrow. Aja

And, Aja, I’m sure your parents are really glad to have the kind of children you and your brother are. You are such a wise and wonderful example.

Family is so important. When I get free in an hour or two, I’m going to get my family together and cook up some joy, using your recipe. Thanks!

It’s amazing you have a recipe with song and dance. Some of the absolute best times I have with my children, which I have done pretty much since the birth of my first child, is dance.

I pick them up and dance around the living room or we create new dance moves. We dance almost everyday to one or two of our favorite CD’s.

Dancing by yourself at first can be fun but all the giggles and wiggles with your friends and family make your recipe tons of fun!
