Be Grateful

Everyday at our house when we sit down together to eat supper we say what we are grateful for or happy about. Everybody gets a turn if they want. We just give our attention to whoever wants to talk and then we listen to them until they are done. Then we eat. My brother Richard is famous for saying the same thing everyday – “I’m grateful for another day on planet earth, this wonderful meal, and my family.” Sometimes he goes on and on after that. We don’t go in any order, but I usually like to be first. I am grateful for so many things in my life and happy about them too.

A couple of months ago we painted my bedroom and then my brother Tom came and did this huge mural of a horse on one of the walls. Then I colored it in. It’s awesome!

I’m mostly grateful for my family’s love and support so that I can follow my dreams. I think it’s cool that we do that everyday. What are you grateful for? I bet there is lots.

Aja! Tom has an amazing talent! the colour on this horse is perfect as well. my family sits together every night for dinner as well and saying what we did during the day is also important as well, your parents are really wonderful at setting up traditions.

One thing I ask my girls quite often is “what do you know for sure?” This is something that the girls come to expect me to ask, i also ask them at times they are not expecting but they know to be ready for when i ask.

    Beautiful horse!

I’m grateful I had the opportunity to work for just a few months shy of 4 years at a job that I never once wasn’t happy to go to. Even when I was working holidays etc I was grateful that someone was there to help people who need it (yes, I missed what I was missing out on but we usually made it up somehow)

Oh my goodness that wall is amazing!

What am I grateful for? Oh my goodness I couldn’t begin to list each item individually it would take hours. So, I’ll sum it up the best I can.

I am grateful for my life and all that which is included, good or bad. Every experience has something to offer me, my family, strangers, the beauty of the ocean to snow glistening on a tree. The world, my life, and all that is me and around me.
