The first few months with baby

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I was interested to read about Canada’s maternity leave policy. There are several rules and regulations, but, as I understand it, Canada gives new parents up to a year at home to be with a new arrival.
This is such an important time to bond with baby, even if you can’t take a full year. The [...]

Organic Resources

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Nice to see that the Crosland family works hard to feed their family organic food while keeping to the budget. They love to make their own bread, and I like her idea about keeping a chart with price comparisons of organic food from different stores. Very smart!
We’re also glad Dr. Greene’s Organic Journey and his [...]

Raising Baby Green makes a great gift for new moms

Monday, January 26th, 2009

I was tickled when I saw that Tracy from momstown oakville said she was buying Raising Baby Green for her next baby shower. “The book is chock full of ideas to help environmentally conscious parents make healthy product and lifestyle choices,” she said. We agree!

Sure I’m thrilled that the Foshe Family lists DrGreene.com as one of their favorite links, but I also LOVE the look of their blog. Look at those pictures!
Same goes for the cutie pie Maribel, and the adorable Avery and Lulu!

Yum! A fabulous recipe from a new Twitter friend

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Dr. Greene and I have both become enthusiasts on Twitter, a “microblogging” site that asks you to answer the question, “What are you doing right now?” in 140 characters or less.
My new Twitter friend, Jane Sarasohn-Kahn, mentioned her carrot/zucchini/potato latkes on Chanukah Eve. These treats aren’t just for holidays… I’d eat them anytime!

Best of 2008: We made the lists!

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Thanks to Peekaboo Picks, a free online magazine featuring “fabulous finds for hip moms.” They listed our own Raising Baby Green in the Best of 2008: Green Edition. We shared the limelight with another of our favorites, Healthy Child Healthy World.
Even more exciting, Raising Baby Green was THE top pick the best parenting/pregnancy book for [...]

Twins 101!

Monday, January 5th, 2009

We’re so proud of Dr. Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin, one of our senior editors here at DrGreene.com. Her new book, Twins 101: 50 Must-Have Tips for Pregnancy through Early Childhood , just came out this fall, and the reviews are wonderful (as we knew they would be!).
Dr. Ke-Bucklin is a M.O.M. (mother of multiples), and her twin [...]

Things a Mom Must Know

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

I just had to thank the Searching for Mrs. Welby blog for listing DrGreene.com under the category “Things a Mom Must Know.” When we started DrGreene in 1996, we created it as a free resource for health information for your family. Glad to know others enjoy our hard work.
