The Search for the Best Organic Milk

Monday, December 29th, 2008

I enjoyed this discussion on Moments in My Life about finding the best organic milk – for the budget and the palate. Her family read Dr. Greene’s Seven Reasons Why Kids Should Drink Organic Milk as more encouragement to make the switch. They’ll be happy they did!

Friday, December 26th, 2008

Jeremy G, a blogger for Amazon.com’s Green Scene Blog, weighed in on Alan’s Organic Journey after The New York Times article about his 3-year dedication to eating only organic foods.
Jeremy brought up some good points about organics research – that scientists were still discovering the differences in nutrient content between organic and non-organic food. Nutrient [...]

A note about peaches

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

I just discovered Dr. Jeremy Warner’s site, "Basic Eating: A Foodie’s Manifesto."  I like his "Six Strengths of Basic Food ", which really lines up with the way Dr. Greene and I try to manage our diets. Dr. Warner made me long for the sweet peaches from this summer, though. Yum!

An Organic Apple a Day!

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Ethelynn, we loved your post about apples! We keep a bowl of crisp organic apples on our kitchen counter, with one of those push-down apple slicers within arm’s reach. By choosing organic apples, we not only avoid the contaminants – we also get more antioxidants for our money – the benefits of 4 apples when you [...]

Does Organic Really Make a Difference?

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Since we started our organic lifestyle, Dr. Greene and I have noted how much easier it’s becoming to find organic products on supermarket shelves. Lisa and Dave, you’re absolutely right about the results of the Body Burden survey – they do show that we’re absorbing environmental contaminants from the air, through the skin and, of [...]
